Jackson "Jack" Bassett is an ex-firefighter who resides in New York City and is a member of The Thunderbolts (New Avengers).After an accident while on a call, Jack was unable to continue his work within the fire department. Desperate for a way to get back to work, he signed up for a clinical trial being done by O.X.E.A bionic chip was implanted into his neck giving him enhanced speed, strength, and intelligence.He managed to escape O.X.E once he realized Valentina's evil intentions, however joins the Thunderbolts soon after the announcement that they are the "New Avengers"
